Game Play

Getting started

As the game begins, players will be guided through a series of simple tasks to get started on understanding the different functions of the game. They will be required to register a company name (fictitious), select a location, and register (to keep track of game progress), as well as managing their earnings and overall budget.

Set up shop

The player is then required to set up their business by hiring staff, purchasing the necessary equipment, assigning the appropriate employees to various job functions, and setting the chosen work hours for each employee. They will also have the opportunity to hire staff through the Ministry of Social Development, which includes real documentation, job descriptions and employment contracts.

Open for Business

The first day of business will enable the player to fulfil demand and supply. As the week progresses, they will be required to make decisions such as hiring more staff to meet demand, increasing inventory, research and development, and upgrading equipment, all having an impact on their bottom line.

Advance play

Once the player is familiar with the game functions, more and more options will be unlocked. They will be required to look at other aspects of their business, such as marketing, obtaining bank loans, to expanding their operations to multiple stores. All the while, managing to retain and keep their staff happy through careful injection of staff benefits, and maintain company morale. Their progress will be ranked against other players on the leaderboard to gauge how successful they are.
